On Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform held a hearing titled: “Inadvertent File Sharing Over Peer-To-Peer Networks: How it Endangers Citizens and Jeopardizes National Security. The hearing examined the continued security and privacy risks associated with Peer-To-Peer (P2P) file-sharing applications, including LimeWire, which is the most widely used P2P software in the United States.
